Our client in Reston, VA is looking for a Software Integration Developer to help support their team.

Our client, supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency, DISA provides a global infrastructure for information sharing and communication across the Department of Defense, from the President on down.\

Contract Encore II :The ENCORE II contract provides IT support to the military services and agencies, Dept. of Defense (DoD) and other federal government agencies. The ideal candidate will work with a team to provide analysis, and software and systems engineering support to the Joint Planning and Execution Services (JPES) Program Management Office (PMO). This will include providing the sustainment/modernization, integration, testing, operational support and technical services necessary to analyze, design, integrate, test, certify and accredit, deploy and maintain quality software for the warfighter

Responsibilities
• Provide expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems
• Use expertise to design, develop, code, test, and debug software
• Work with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives
• Communicate complex technical concepts in clear terms to personnel with varying levels of technical knowledge
• Provide analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases
• Plan and schedule new applications systems projects with user, systems software, and computer center operations personnel, including the identification of objectives, time frames, costs, and manpower requirements
• Document and Diagram complex technical, process and data architectures to support program requirements and acquisition goals
• Ensure the identification and documentation of hazards within software systems using various analysis tools and techniques
• Review and evaluate systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety
• Confirm design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation, and verify implementation
• May perform as a project lead responsible for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned systems developers / analysts working on a specific project

Desired Skills
• Experience working within DoD (DISA, Logistics, Combatant Commands)
• Experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle ( SDLC ) using Java, JavaScript, Web Services and Oracle ( or similar RDBMS)
• Knowledge of SPA technologies such as React, Backbone, Ember and/or Angular
• Knowledge of Data Implementation using databases such as PostgresDB, MongoDB , and CouchDB
• Experience migrating and deploying applications to Cloud service providers

Required Experience
• Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 5+ yrs of experience or a Master's with 3+ yrs of experience
